Why not call the people responsible for this charter school and tell them how you feel?

If they won’t take your calls, go to the website for one of the foundations, take a name of one of the foundation big wigs and use that name to get them on the phone. Then let them have it. They are comming after us where we live from their lofty Manhattan highs, Now take the fight to their home. Your children’s future depends on it.

This charter school is a long harbored dream for Steinhard.

Now our taxpayers dollars will fund his dream.

  3. LQuinlan says:

We need Marine Park and Gerritsen Beach residents to come to the meeting at Marine Park JHS, May 26 at 6:00 PM Members of the HLA Charter School board as well as DOE representatives will be there and need to SEE how many of us are against this project. Bring your friends, family and neighbors.

Please call 311 if you have not yet done so and let them know that you are adamantly opposed to housing a charter school at I.S. 278, Marine Park JHS. The calls they are getting are being counted and recognized. The mayor needs to realize that if he wants our votes, he must consider our opinions.

I was able to get out of work early so I decided I would lodge my complaint with 311.
I am currently trying to lodge a complaint with 311, Michelle M2132 is telling me I must put it in writting. I insisted I wanted to lodge a complaint for Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott. I was just put on ‘hold’ at 3:45

  5. Marine Parker says:

ok so a few minutes passed, Michelle came back on the telephone and said I could only file a complaint for the Deputy Mayor via US mail, 311 does not take complaints for the Deputy Mayor or Mayor. She provided address: Hon. M. Bloomberg, City Hall, NY, NY 10007
Michelle then did take a complaint which was directed to the DOE to which I was given a complaint # and told they would received complaint in 5 days…..
    My Tax dollars at work!

  6. Marine Parker says:

311 asked me to put my complaint to the Mayor or Deputy may in writing – I just left the below message for our Mayor at:

You can meet and greet the community who will not be able to attend the open house you planned at the same time at your Marine Park campaign office

  7. Mjolnir says:

Thank you Marine Parker. I filled one myself. I copied the link and will forward it to any and all members of my family that still reside in Brooklyn.

I had filed a complaint to the Mayor’s Office via 311 last week so if they will not accept any more calls regarding the subject I can only assume that a fair volume of calls have been coming through in the past week.

Well done all. Keep up the good work.

You guys need to have a bit more respect for this project. I’m starting to see a bit of underlying anti-semitism with this whole debate and it should stop. I’m sure if we were offered an irish heritage school we would be jumping for joy in this neighborhood..
