One thing I've never understood-they dig up the whole street on Day 1, and then the pavers and asphalt guys don't show up for several days, leaving what looks like a lunar landscape to beat the daylights out of cars. Why aren't the pavers working with them to go in right behind the street scraper, or at least the next day? It's not coordinated at all and it's been that way forever.

One more question......Is the city responsible for repairs if a parks dept tree created the damage?

The homeowner will be billed by the city after the completion of the work. All information was contained in the violation notices which were sent out a few years ago. Owners had sufficient time to have the work done on their own (some did). The homeowners can call 311 for more information or check with Lew's office.

Let us not forget PS 222 is at the corner of E34. Weekdays this street is normally congested with teacher parking, parents and school bus traffic. Tuesday is also trash and recycling pickup.

I don't understand. Who is paying to fix the sidewalks, the city or the homeowner?

The cones have been put in place on the west side of the street advising 'No Parking' Monday and Tuesday. The workman said the crews should be on the job by 7AM on Monday.
