Snow Day Photographs
I braved today’s weather to go around the neighborhood and take some “snow pictures.” Snow can definitely be a nuisance at times, but it sure is pretty!

Clearly taken in much better weather, these pictures confirm that the “second story question” for 3512 Quentin Road has been answered – apparently it is allowed. This morning Mayor Bloomberg announced that all New York City public schools will be CLOSED on Wednesday, February 10th due to the expected snowstorm. A press conference will be held today at 1 PM. The status of schools for Thursday is not known at this time.

Essentially the entire northern side of Avenue U between Hendrickson Street and Flatbush Avenue is for sale/for rent (with the exception of the the Verizon dealer). Is this a prime opportunity for useful stores/shops to come to the neighborhood or just more of the same type of useless stores that grace most of Flatbush Avenue? 8 AM Shooting on Coleman Street
Around 8 AM this morning a woman was shot as she was leaving her house on Coleman Street near Quentin Road, on her way to work.
