8 AM Shooting on Coleman Street

Around 8 AM this morning a woman was shot as she was leaving her house on Coleman Street near Quentin Road, on her way to work.  The alleged gunman, wearing camouflage fatigues and a ski mask, was waiting outside her house when he pulled the trigger.  One news report states she was shot in her leg, another states she was shot in the head.  Fortunately, both report that the woman survived.  There are also conflicting stories as to whether he was in his car or fled on foot.

In addition, a local surveillance video caught this all on tape, which was given to the police.  Kudos, vigilant neighbor.

I heard that the shooter was the woman’s husband. I thought this didnt make sense. Why would someone shoot at a woman in her driveway. There was no robbery attempt and the shooter was wearing a full camoflauge outfit and a ski mask. Most robberies dont dress like that as the dont want to stick out. This was obviously planned.

My husband and I thought it was someone she knew as well. What a shame.

I wonder if she had a restraining order. The police can do something about all those threats now. What a shame.

I am a concerned neighbor living in Marine Park which once was a very safe area. Past few years there has been too much violence and robberies. What Marine Park needs is a volunteer Watch Patrol. We as neighbors should unite!
